Covid 19 Rapid Test Kits

COVID 19 Rapid Antigen and

Antibody Tests with Results in Minutes

Why Rapid Testing?

Rapid testing is appealing because receiving fast results means a person knows sooner whether they need to self-isolate to avoid transmitting the virus to others. There are three types of COVID-19 tests: Genetic (or molecular) tests, antigen tests, and antibody tests. An increase in rapid testing could help stop the spread of COVID-19.

All our products have undergone a variety of clinal trials with many being supplied all over the globe and have been procured by a number of Governments.

Studies continue to show that a high percentage of people show no clinical symptoms for the COVID-19 virus, making the testing of employees critically important if you are to provide a safe working environment during the pandemic. We supply both Antigen and Antibody testing kit. Both tests, also known as rapid diagnostic tests, are used to diagnose active coronavirus infections and antibodies.

Our Covid-19 Rapid Testing kits can be used for the rapid testing of a range of people including visitors, guests, employees and workforce to identify any active Covid-19 infection. Antigen tests are an ideal screening tool highlighting those who are 'positive' and need to immediately self-isolate whilst protecting those who are 'negative' and able to continue to work or return to work. Hence outbreaks may be prevented by identifying these individuals early and isolating them. An antigen test is ideally suited for the testing of key workers and high-risk groups – including healthcare workers, teachers, food supply workers, and those in transport and logistics.

  • Q2. How many tests are in one kit?

Tests can be sold individually or in boxes of 10s, 20s and 25s.

  • Q3. Do you have to be a medical professional to use the Rapid test?

Place used tests in a biohazard container with biosafety to ensure safe disposal.

  • Q6: Do the tests require specialist PPE clothing?

Whilst it is recommended that protective clothing, gloves and eye protection is worn while handling specimens, it is not mandatory. Wash hands afterwards.

  • Q7. What is the difference between an antigen and an antibody test?
    • An antigen test will tell you if you have the Covid-19 virus
    • An antibody test will tell you if you have HAD the Covid-19 virus and still have antibodies within your body.
  • Q8. How accurate is a Rapid test?

No diagnostic testing is 100%. All our rapid tests have undergone clinical trials and performance varies between 92 - 97.5% sensitivity and 98 - 100% specificity.

  • Q9. What are the Rapid Testing kit components?
    • Each test device is sealed in a foil pouch with a desiccant
    • Assay diluent tube
    • Filter cap
    • Sterilized swab (where applicable) for nasopharynx specimen collection
    • Specimen funnel (saliva)
    • Instructions for use.
  • Q10. What type of sample specimen is required?

    Depending on the test being taken;

    • A nasal (nasopharynx) swab.
    • A salavisa sample.
    • A small pin prick of blood.

  • Q11: How do you know if the result is positive or negative?
    • All rapid tests look similar to a pregnancy style test with a window showing results
    • [Negative] The presence of only one red band at the control line (C) within the result window indicates a negative result
    • [Positive] Two bands appear; one red control line(C) and one black test line(T)
    • [Invalid] If the control line fails to appear within the result window, the result is considered invalid. The directions may not have been followed correctly. It is recommended that the specimen be retested.

Note: There is no meaning attributed to line colour intensity or width. A faint black test line (T) indicates a positive result.

  • Q12. What are the Limitations?
    • A negative result can occur if the quantity of coronavirus present in the specimen is below the detection limits of the assay or if a poor quality specimen is tested
    • A negative test result cannot exclude a recent infection.
  • Q13. How long does delivery take?

Depending on the test, from confirmation of order and payment, delivery will be approximately 10-28 days.
